Dialogue with Business. The Commission has announced that its 'Dialogue with Business' free access Internet information service is receiving more than 11,000 requests for information and advice everyday. The Commission feels that the site is helping firms, especially SMEs, to win new business in the Single Market and to overcome potential obstacles. Technical standards, EU funding opportunities, intellectual property rights and public procurement are proving to be areas of particular interest. The 'Dialogue with Business' is to be further upgraded, with particular emphasis on feedback from companies. The feedback will be used not only to tackle obstacles identified but also to sound out companies on draft new EU legislation through on-line consultations.
