The Commission has adopted a Decision aimed at simplifying, harmonising and procuring more transparent procedures for awarding contracts in the area of external relations. From 2000 there will be eight simplified procedures for the procurement of services, works and supplies, applicable to all Community-financed contracts worldwide.
