The role of economic analysis in the EC competition rules: Following an introductory chapter, the EC competition rules are presented in a comprehensive way, followed by a chapter on competition theory. The concept of competition has been developed from an economic point of view, as knowledge about economic theory has become essential to EC competition law. The next chapter aims to prove that the role of economic analysis needs to be adapted according to the emerging new approach. This new approach is highlighted by analysing judgments of the EC Court, Commission Decisions and the Commission's Green Paper on Vertical Restraints. This chapter also gives guidance on how to apply an economic analysis. Hildebrand, Doris |
