Labour Law And Industrial Relations In The European Union

This issue of the Bulletin of Comparative Labour Relations reports on a conference on European social and labour issues held by the Euro-Japan Institute for Law and Business in Leuven, Belgium, 28-29 April 1997.

A range of topics were covered and the papers presented are reproduced in this volume. The main topic covered is European Works Councils, including a comparative overview, the implementation of the Directive and country reports, plus perspectives from the USA, Japan and the UK.
