A year after the protests, Gezi Park nurtures the seeds of a new Turkey

One year after the first clashes in Istambul's Gezi Park in May and June 2013, anniversary protests took place in May - June 2014.

What began as anger over the loss of green space became the the catalyst for a wider awareness on the Turkish internal reality.

Fresh clashes hit the Turkish capital, Ankara, a day after unrest broke out on the first anniversary of mass anti-government rallies.
