Markos Kyprianou, European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection, believes the pharmaceutical industry should overhaul its pricing strategy for key drugs to help poorer EU Member States meet global health challenges. Preferential access should include drugs for HIV/AIDs, as well as Tamiflu, the leading anti-viral treatment for bird flu.
