Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), and Olli Rehn, European Commissioner for Enlargement, welcomed the decision on 17 October 2005 by the Council of the EU and the European Commission to appoint Mr. Erwan Fouéré as European Union Special Representative (EUSR) and Head of the European Commission Delegation to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
