Press Release: Euromed Ministerial in Luxembourg: Barcelona Partnership’s second decade

Preview of a meeting of Euro-Mediterranean Foreign Ministers in Luxembourg on 30-31 May 2005. Ministers were planning to map out a work programme for the years ahead, as the partnership was approaching its tenth anniversary. Discussions were to centre on the recent European Commission Communication which outlined proposals to strengthen EU relations with the Mediterranean, including proposals in three critical areas: 1) Economic Reform, 2) Education, and 3) Human Rights and Democracy.
