The European Charter for Regional and Minority Languages (ECRML) could be ratified by Romania in 2005.. After two attempts with the former Government, the draft bill on ratification is almost finalised and the Council of Europe (CoE) and Romania have to find a solution on how to handle territorial issues before ratification by the Parliament.
