With the signing of the Constitutional Treaty on 29 October 2004 came the launch of a new website for the Constitution at http://europa.eu.int/constitution/index_en.htm. Not only does this include the full text of the final version of the new Treaty, but it also has a summary, a collection of fact sheets, the history of its development, downloadable presentations explaining its content and the Constitution logo, and links to other relevant sites. Of crucial interest over the coming months will be the Futurum site at http://europa.eu.int/futurum/referendum_en.htm where the progress towards ratification will be monitored. The site incorporates an interactive map and full details of how each member state plans to proceed, timetables and dates of referenda where decided, press releases, statements and interviews. No doubt this will be an invaluable and frequently visited site as progress towards ratification is tracked. |
