Press Release: GDP per capita in the Member States ranged from 40% to 215% of the EU25 average in 2003

GDP per capita in Luxembourg, expressed in terms of purchasing power standards (PPS), was more than twice the EU25 average in 2003, while Ireland was about one third above average, and Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Belgium around 20% above average. Sweden and Finland recorded figures about 15% above the EU25 average, and France, Germany and Italy around 10% above average.
