The German Government is making available 5.1 million euro from the budgets of the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development to help finance the elections in Afghanistan organized by the United Nations. The presidential elections in Afghanistan will take place on 9 October 2004 and that the parliamentary elections will follow in April 2005 |
