EUREKA: Statistical Report at the end of the French Chair Year July 2003/June 2004 prepared by the EUREKA Secretariat

Launched in 1985, the EUREKA Initiative has the declared objective 'to raise the productivity and competitiveness of Europe's industries and to boost national economies on the world market, and hence strengthen the basis for lasting prosperity and employment'. To achieve this objective, EUREKA provides a framework for carrying out market oriented R&D through transnational and collaborative projects involving businesses, research centres and universities.
