Airbus, the European aircraft maker is only two years away from the planned first flight of the A380 super-jumbo. Parts of the aircraft are being manufactured in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and North-West France and are then transported by sea to Bordeaux. The various parts are then moved up the River Garonne by barge to Langon before being transferred by road for final assembly in Toulouse.
