Implementation of the European company statute: The European public limited-liability company regulations 2004. A consultative document

The purpose of this consultative document is to seek views on the application of the European Company Statute in Great Britain. Adopted by Member States in October 2001, the European Company Statute creates a legal framework for a new form of company, the European Company or 'Societas Europaea' (SE), which may make it easier for businesses to structure and carry out cross-border activities within the EU.
