European Union international transactions. Analytical aspects. Data 1991-2001

This publication gives the most recent portrait (2001) of EU international transactions, focusing on analytical aspects and providing statistical tables. It mainly covers international exchanges (exports and imports) in services (53 items) and other balance of payments items, including goods, income received on capital invested abroad or paid on foreign capital invested on EU territory; salaries earned abroad by EU residents or salaries paid to non-residents on EU territory; and current transfers such as international aid and migrant workers' remittances. The publication emphasises the EU's geographical trading partners (50). Comparison with the USA and Japan is provided.
An accompanying CD-ROM provides more detailed statistical tables containing harmonised and internationally comparable current account data.
