Terrorist suspects' assets could be frozen anywhere in Europe by UK courts, in an amendment to the Crime (International Co-operation) Bill, announced by UK Home Office Minister, Lord Filkin, on 3 February 2003. The measure would require EU courts to act on asset freezing orders issued by UK courts to ensure that terrorist suspects' funds could not support terrorist activities. |
