Application of the EU animal by-products regulation. Consultation document

The EU Animal By-products Regulation 1774/2002, which will tighten the rules on the processing, use, disposal, trade and import of animal by-products will apply in member States from 1 May 2003. This consultation document requests views on the draft legislation which will give effect to the controls in England. Separate consultations will take place for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Deadline for reponses: 21 March 2003.
