EU Farm Commissioner Franz Fischler has responded to allegations that the EU intended to restrict EU imports of cereals and rice made by US Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman and US Trade Representative Robert Zoellick on 28 June 2002, by stating that this was a total misunderstanding.
