The Social Partners (ETUC.UNICE/UEAPME and CEEP) signed on 16 July 2002 a cross-industry agreement on telework. This agreement defines telework and its scope and sets up a general framework at European level for teleworkers' working conditions. It aims to ensure that teleworkers are afforded a general standard of protection equivalent to workers on employers' premises. It is the first time that the member organisations of the signatory parties are implementing an agreement in accordance with the procedures and practices specific to the social partners in the Member States. |
