Report on income distribution, poverty and redistribution in Europe. Study explores how the distribution of income and poverty rate are influenced by the redistributive role of welfare states. The paper is divided into three sections, dealing with income distribution in general, poverty and income redistribution. The dynamic aspects of income and poverty are also examined. Different measures for income inequality and poverty are observed over time, using the 1994 - 1997 waves of the ECHP (EUROSTAT - European Community Household Panel). |
