Together, the Employment and Race Directives provide a common framework of protection against unfair discrimination across Europe. The consultation document 'Towards equality and diversity' contained the Government's proposals for taking forward this work. The consultation ended on 31 March 2002. A further consultation is expected to take place in Autumn 2002.
