Research Notice Board on EP London site

The European Parliament Office in London has added a new feature to its web site. It has launched a notice board for researchers, academics and students worldwide who are working on EU topics and would like to contact others with similar interests. The first entry is already there at http://www.europarl.eu.int/EU/Euresearchmain.htm/. To become listed simply complete the online questionnaire and submit it by e-mail. The point is made on the site that only listings of genuine academic and research relevance will be posted, at the discretion of the Director of the European Parliament's UK Office.

CORDIS assistance to NAS

CORDIS has established a new web page at http://www.cordis.lu/fp5/enlargement.htm which is designed to assist candidate countries to participate in EU research programmes. It has links to all the standard Framework Programme 5 pages, but additionally it provides tailored information to encourage the 'Newly Associated States' (NAS). The content covers special opportunities aimed directly at NAS, dedicated measures to improve participation, and calls specifically directed towards NAS. Contact and assistance details include links to Innovation Relay Centres in the applicant countries.
