Euro-Guide: Yearbook of the institutions of the European Union, 18th ed.

Book abstract:

Established in 1977 as the 'Yearbook of the European Communities' this is the latest edition of the Euro-Guide from Editions Delta in Brussels.

Euro-Guide is an important reference source for all those concerned with Europe, providing information on the bodies working for European integration. This 18th edition includes a subject index, direct telephone numbers and a list of useful websites.

The guide is divided into two parts with an additional section at the beginning of the book entitled 'Practical Information' providing useful material on Euro values, holidays and national days, as well as a chronological history of the EU and an index of some 8,000 names. Part one of the book describes the structure, functioning and activities of the institutions and bodies of the EU, together with twenty other governmental organisations such as the Council of Europe, the European Patent Office and the European Space Agency. Part two serves as a directory, giving the names of the persons in charge, addresses, direct telephone numbers as well as a list of the diplomatic corps accredited to the EU and establishments offering higher education courses.
