The first "Common Visa Application Centre" in the history of the European Union visa policy has been officially inaugurated in the presence of Vice-President Franco Frattini, Commissioner responsible for Freedom, Justice and Security, in Chisinau, Moldova, 25 April 2007. This Common Centre will facilitate in a very tangible way the issuance of visas for Moldovan citizens. Vice-President Frattini also initialled, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, the agreements for readmission and visa facilitation between the European Community and the Republic of Moldova. |
