European law, 3rd ed.

European Law is part of the successful Law Society of Ireland series that offers excellent coverage of key topics trainee solicitors need to understand when studying on the Irish Professional Practice Course. This new edition has been restructured to include recent developments in the area of EU law. It covers all important new cases and legislation whilst developing existing topics. The competition law section has been expanded, covering the area of public sector competition and including the recent changes in the area of mergers. Other new initiatives in the area of private law are also outlined. New material is introduced in the form of a new section on litigation before the European Courts with specific reference to the Article 234 reference procedure. The analysis of these cases are complimented with the use of using specimen forms and precedents as examples of documentation students will come across in practice. However, it will also be of great interest to those who find that EU law touches upon their practice, whether in the public or private sector.
