Memo: Mergers: Commissioner Kroes discusses Italian authorisation procedure for transfer of Autostrade motorway concessions with Minister di Pietro

Commissioner Kroes has finally received and discussed on 5 January 2007 with Minister di Pietro, the Italian Minister for Infrastructure, comprehensive explanations about the Italian authorisation procedure for the transfer of the Autostrade motorway concession. The Commission can only now examine in depth whether the concerns raised in that procedure were compatible with the EU Merger Regulation.
