Populism is harming east Europe says World Bank

The rise of 'populist forces' is hampering economic reform, complicating fiscal management and delaying the introduction of the euro in the European Union's new member states, the World Bank has warned in its 'World Bank EU8 Quarterly Economic Report, September 2006.
