Berlin tries to raise awareness of terror threat

Germany's experiences in the 20th century make it suspicious of acts to curb civil liberties. Nevertheless, the authorities are trying to tighten up security against terrorist threats, especially after the attempts to blow up two German trains on the 31 July 2006.
