The European Commission on 6 June 2006 cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Carmen Systems AB, of Sweden by The Boeing Company of the US. Both Carmen and Boeing were active in the provision of software-based logistical services to airlines. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. |
