Signature of the Country Strategy Paper (CSP) with Timor-Leste for 2006-2007

The European Commission and East Timor's Government signed on 9 June 2006 the Country Strategy Paper (CSP) comprising the period 2006-2007. The CSP was accompanied by a National Indicative Programme (NIP).

The country ratified the Cotonou Agreement in December 2005. This CSP bridges the gap between the end of the cooperation under the Asia and Latin America Regulation (to which Timor Leste was ascribe before the ratification of the Cotonou Agreement) and the programming of the 10th European Development Fund (EDF), starting in 2008.
