Press Release: European Commissioner Ferrero-Waldner to visit Egypt, 6-7 May 2006

Preview of a visit of Benita Ferrero-Waldner, European Commissioner for External Relations and Neighbourhood Policy, to Egypt, from 6 to 7 May 2006. The Commissioner was planning to hold meetings both in Alexandria and in Cairo where her agenda was to cover the EU-Egypt bilateral relations, the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) and the role of Egypt in the region. It was also planned that the situation in the Middle East would figure prominently in the discussions.
