Many nations ill-prepared for influenza pandemic

According to a survey by the London School of Hygiene, the first independent analysis of official pandemic flu preparations across Europe, there are serious deficiencies in some national plans and big variations between countries. The findings of the report are reported in the online edition of The Lancet dated 15 April 2006 (article is available only to subscribers).
