Preview of a meeting between European Commission Vice-President Jacques Barrot, responsible for transport, and eleven organisations representing Europe’s airlines, airports and transport unions on 6-7 April 2006 to discuss airport policy. The discussion was to focus on airport charges, the competitiveness of airports and airport services such as baggage handling. Participants were also to be given the chance to explain their views on the future airport requirements of the aviation industry. |
