Details of proposed new regulations aimed at improving road safety in the United Kingdom through more appropriate use of child restraints were announced by the UK Road Safety Minister, Stephen Ladyman, on 27 February 2006. The regulations will implement Directive 2003/20/EC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to compulsory use of safety belts in vehicles of less than 3,5 tonnes. |
