French poultry sales knock UK market

French poultry farmers are exporting to the UK birds that they can no longer sell in France. This is affecting the UK wholesale market and depressing prices and UK farmers are urging a ban on French poultry products. However, the European Commission has warned that if the UK imposes a unilateral ban on French poultry exports, it would break its European Union and international obligations.
