Press Release: ICT’s role crucial for the achievement of the Lisbon strategy

Report of a three-day visit to Portugal by European Commission Vice-President Siim Kallas dedicated to the crucial role of ICT in the achievement of the Lisbon goals. This came a few days after the Commission adopted its Annual Progress Report on the revised Lisbon strategy to the Spring European Council. On 31 January 2006 Kallas spoke at the Microsoft Government Leaders Forum in Lisbon.
