Retailers try to halt plastic bag inquiry

Leading UK retailers have written to Peter Mandelson, European Commissioner for Trade, to try and halt an investigation into whether China is selling plastic bags in Europe at below their market value. The retailers are against the investigation because they fear having to meet the costs of any duty imposed.
