The European Commission on 1 December 2005 cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Telindus by the Belgacom Group. After examining the operation carefully, the Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the EEA or any substantial part of it and had therefore approved the concentration. |
