Press Release: The Commission allocates EUR 10 million for scholarships to Turkish students

The European Commission has approved a €10 million-scholarship programme for Turkey under the Meda programme. The Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme will provide young Turkish graduates, both public sector and private sector staff, a one-year scholarship for postgraduate study in the EU, in various areas relevant in the framework of the pre-accession strategy for Turkey. The programme aims to strengthen the links between these Turkish women and men and the European Union by providing them experience to live and to learn in the EU for a longer period of time.
