Press Release: Defective products: Commission decides to take Greece and France to Court of Justice over failure to implement Directive correctly

The European Commission has decided to bring proceedings against Greece and France before the European Court of Justice for failure to implement correctly a Directive concerning liability for defective products, which introduced a system whereby the producer is liable for the damage suffered by injured persons.
