Press Release: Circulation of audiovisual works and training of professionals: Commission adopts its proposals for the Media Plus programme (2001-2005)

The Commission adopted on 14.12.99 a proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on the implementation of a training programme for professionals in the audiovisual programme industry (Media Plus - Training) and a proposal for a Council Decision on the implementation of a programme to encourage the development, distribution and promotion of European audiovisual works (Media Plus - Development). The two Decisions will cover the period 2001-2005. The proposed budget for Media Plus - Training is € 50m and for Media Plus - Development € 350m
