Single Market programme: Single Energy Market. The Commission has adopted the second Report on the state of liberalisation of the energy markets. The report suggests that there is room for optimism regarding the creation of the Single Market in the European Union for electricity and natural gas. In the future, the correct implementation of the Gas Directive by Member States and monitoring the operation of the Electricity Directive in practice will be the top priorities of the Commission. |
