EU Databases User Group

To reflect the changes that have taken place with the dismantling of Eurobases, the UK Eurobases User Group which monitors developments in the official databases, offers a support network in using the databases and lobbies for improvements to them, has changed its name to EU Databases User Group (EUDUG). A new committee has been constituted reflecting the wide range of membership and the Group is in the process of relaunching. Existing members will receive information shortly about the Group's new web site which will soon be going live at http://www.EUDUG.co.uk/ and about a summer meeting to be held at the European Parliament Office in London on 15 July. Potential new members or old members who have changed their contact details and lost touch are invited to contact the Membership Secretary, Jill Speed of databeuro:
Tel: +44-(0)181-239-7194
E-mail: jill.speed@btinternet.com

Jill asks that in addition to names and addresses, she would like to have telephone numbers and e-mail addresses and it would be especially helpful to have a general switchboard number as well as a direct line.

If you use any of the official databases, this forum may be of use to you. Members from outside the UK are also welcome. With the focus of a web site and e-mail contact, non-UK based members can still benefit from membership and contribute to improving access and usability of the databases. The greater the numbers the more likely the Group's voice is to be heard in the right places.
