CELEXplus

When searching in ECLAS, and in other official databases and web sites, users will increasingly come across references to CELEXplus documents. CELEXplus is not in itself a database but is a gateway to an electronic document repository consisting of the data held in a number of databases. The searcher is automatically directed to where the text is located. Web site creators can use this feature to provide direct hyperlinks to the full text of relevant documents for their own audience. Detailed instructions on how to do this are given at http://europa.eu.int/Smart/API/CELEXapi-en.htm/. Increasingly, users will come across a variety of optional links when searching. For example, a search in the CELEX database might produce a hit where the text should contain graphics or tables. CELEX contains only plain text but a direct link may be offered to the document delivery service EUDOR where the reference can be supplied in paginated format for a charge.
