Industrial production.EU industrial production was up by 4.2% in July 1998 compared with July 1997. Strongest growth was in Greece (9.9%), Finland (7.9%), Sweden (7.1% and Belgium (6.1%) and lowest in UK (2%) and Italy (1.2%).

The EU 15 industrial production trend was up 0.6% in the period June to August 1998 compared to the previous quarter.
