Date: 26/11/1998 Name games are also going on at the new Vienna-based European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia. Just a few months after opening its doors, the EU-established centre is already considering shortening its name, which is even more of a tongue-twister in German than in English. Currently, the centre's six staff members are using EURAX as a working acronym, but it will probably take several EU committee proposals, and months of meetings and working groups, to make it official. |
