Date: 24/09/1998 It appears there is some confusion within the EU presidency about exactly who should answer questions on the sensitive issue of road tolls on the Brenner Pass - a subject which has led the Commission to take Austria to the European Court of Justice. Vienna's transport ministry press office refers all calls on the subject to the economics ministry, which in turn refers calls to the transport ministry. Just who is in charge here? |
