Date: 30/10/1997 It's Euro-Trivia time again. Before the cynics amongst you reply that every day is trivia day in the happy world of EU politics, Entre Nous would like to point out that this particular event is different. On 19 November, at the Conrad Hotel in Brussels, Arthur Andersen Consulting will host the 4th Annual European Trivia Quiz. All proceeds will be split between the BBC's Children in Need appeal and European Children in Crisis. Quiz chairman will be former UK ambassador to Belgium Sir John Gray. Previous winners include the UK permanent representation to the EU - which last year loaded the odds in its favour by fielding five teams - the European Commission's Directorate-General for external relations (DGI) and the Economic and Social Committee. The Institute of Chartered Accountants will be taking part again this year, despite an impressively low score last year. Teams of four who want to participate in the event should contact Arthur Vaid at Arthur Andersen immediately. |
