Date: 21/11/1996 paid out by four member states in 1991 and 1992 under the Common Agricultural Policy was approved by the full Commission yesterday (20 November). As expected, the decision took account of improvements in the policing of the cotton regime in Greece. Penalties against Athens will therefore be reduced from 25&percent; of total expenditure to 10&percent;. Other decisions related to spending in the olive oil sector in Greece, Spain and Italy, Greek tobacco production and public storage of beef in Germany. |
